REFLECTION:

Yesterday, April 26, Teresa Bobrowska sent me a link from Vancouver with the Canadian premiere recording of Juliusz Zarębski's Quintet in G minor, on April 15 in Vancouver. The performers are the pianist Wojciech Świtała and the Silesian Quartet.

Richard Berkeley made a very competent and touching comment before the concert.

Just a few words of reflection Ladies and Gentlemen. In my opinion, it was an artistic and, in a sense, patriotic event, at the absolute highest level.

The performance was not only perfect, but perhaps most of all, full of beauty and reflection on the non-literal, but very Polish image of a young genius, unfortunately prematurely deceased into history.

This masterful performance made a deep impression on me. I have taken part in the performance of the Quintet many times, but yesterday I was enchanted. The atmosphere of interpretation accompanied me on the impossible to fall asleep night.

I was happy that the Bobrowskis turned out to be authentic, genuine acolytes of Polish culture and art, which I simply adore.

Words of appreciation to The Vancouver Chopin Society, the Institute of Music and Dance of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the British Columbia Authorities for the initiative and organization of the concert presenting this musical treasure
