REFLECTION
Herewith a brief and very personal reflection on a CD
presenting pianoforte music by Roman
Palester performed by Jakub Tchorzewski.

If I were to describe my impressions after listening to
this CD in one word, I would just say: awesome.
· Jakub
Tchorzewski has performed Roman Palester's works not only with excellent technique but also in an
intimate manner. Everything sounds natural and is fully comprehensible immediately, even after listening to it for the first time - at
least for me.
·
I feel that
Roman Palester due to the
artistic value of his works, belongs to
the group of the most renowned contemporary composers, not only
nationwide. The masterful rendition of
his works by Jakub Tchorzewski should
largely contribute to the presence of this composer in the international community.
·
Just today, after spending quite a lot of time in the universe of Roman Palester, I realized what the essence
of his music is. He uses sounds to tell the story of human destiny.
·
His narrative is not translatable into words. I perceive it as pure, absolute music. I have
delighted in the pure sounds, without any associations with suggested
meaning.
·
The booklet is an excellent graphic and editorial
work.
